Single-Tooth Restoration

The dental implant restoration process for a single tooth is relatively inexpensive and generally only requires one appointment. For a single-tooth replacement, our dentist, Dr. Waterman, will first evaluate the bone density in your jaw. If the tissue is soft or thin, you may need a bone graft prior to your implant, but don’t worry. This process is done in-office and is painless.

Once your jaw is ready, Dr. Waterman will place a titanium post into your jaw where you are missing a tooth. Your gum tissue and jawbone will need several weeks to heal around it. The post will become a permanent part of your mouth after the healing process. Then, Dr. Waterman will shape and place a dental crown to fill the gap and act as an artificial tooth.

Your dental implant will match the color and shape of your other teeth. We design our dental implants to look as natural as possible to restore your smile to its former glory.

Multiple Tooth Restoration

Restoring multiple teeth can take a little longer than a single tooth and may require additional services, such as dentures or a bridge.

Dr. Waterman will determine if you need a dental bridge or dentures and go over your options after she examines the condition of your teeth. We use bridges, which attach to nearby teeth, to fill small gaps in your smile. Dentures, on the other hand, rely on tissues in your mouth to stay in place and replace missing teeth.

Can You Have Dentures and Implants at the Same Time?

If you have a history of tooth damage, you may already have implants before considering getting dentures. While dentures generally use the tissues in your mouth for stability, we also offer implant-supported dentures that use implants for support without the need for denture adhesives.
