Cleanings & Exams
Preventing dental problems before they start is easier than fixing them later, and regular cleanings and exams are integral to proper dental hygiene. We recommend scheduling an exam and cleaning twice a year. Kids should have their first exam about six months after their first tooth erupts.
During your appointment, one of our friendly dental hygienists will clean and polish your or your child’s teeth, including around the gum line. We may also take X-rays or apply protective sealants or fluoride with your approval.
After cleaning, our dentist, Dr. Waterman, will perform a complete exam, view any scans, and go over a treatment plan for any existing issues. We’re also happy to provide continual education regarding at-home care for any conditions, general or pediatric dental hygiene.
